Poison IVeeeeeeY

Yeppers I have poison ivy in my back yard along with...... FIELD MICE~ How perfect for a new home owner. I not only so I have to kill off the posion ivy and a wild blackberry bush but I also get to fight field mice this summer so they do not take over in the winter. UGH!!!

I got the warm fuzzy call Monday morning from an exterminator that stopped by last week to sign me up, so I got him to take a look and take a few pics. He called me back and let me know what the strange holes were that had me confounded since the day I moved in. Oh boy please tell me again why I am a home owner and not still renting?

Organizing my craft room

I enjoy my new home, no I love it. But I hate organizing everything. I abhor going through everything and deciding what to keep or throw out, how to set it up. I am have been working on my craft room all day today. I have way to much craft stuff and not enough ways to organize it all. In my apartment I had two big things to place items in and one ha snow become my TV cabinet in my living room and the other I got rid of. It was an old dresser left behind from a former roommate. It was painted and decouped and just would not fit into my new home. Now I do not have any drawers to throw stuff in. UGH!

I did have some closet people come over to give me a craft closet ultimate organizing free estimate. It was a little pricey and I was going cheap cheap! About $1800 for mostly shelves and a few drawers. OUCH! I have got to find a way to do it myself. Time to check out Ikea and The container store.

Ok back to cleaning and organizing for me.

Why do I keep Blogging?

Not sure why I keep blogging, no one is reading my blogs. So I guess I am doing it for me. I sure wish I knew how to add cool stuff on here. Oh well eventually if I play around here long enough I figure some things out.

Just a quick LO I finally completed of my niece. The photos are from almost 3 years ago now.

So what's up this week?
I went to a new hair dresser for a hair cut on Saturday. Now how come when they ask you what you want done and you tell them to only cut off an inch they think that somehow you mean 4"'s! I am a little upset right now over it. I went there as a referral of someone's I know that has long hair and I like how her hair is cut. She has long hair so I thought great her person will not cut my hair off. I know I have thick hair but it was and is in wonderful healthy shiny condition. I rarely use any products on it and hardly ever blow dry it. So here I was trying to grow my hair out yet again so I can get it long enough to one day cut it off for locks of love and still be able to have shoulder length hair afterwards. I have been foiled again! It was nearly to the middle of my back and now it is just a little past my shoulder. I want to scream and cry. It took me almost a year to get it that long. Now I have been set back 6 months just to get it back to the length it was. I must find a man that loves long hair to cut my hair next time. But my next hair cut may not be until next year now! LOL. No more hair cuts for me!

What a Scrappin Weekend!

I just had the most amazing srcapping weekend. I can't say I scrapped the most pages this past weekend but I sure did have the most fun ever. All thanks to 8 wonderful hilarious woman I have the pleasure of scrapping with at least twice a year. After all these years of coming
together and finally feeling very comfortable with each other we cut loose this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We scrapped, we watched chick flics, we drank New Allison Margarita's and laughed our butts off all weekend.

Hopefully I will get around to posting a few of the 12 LO's I have nearly compelted on here soon. I am off to unpack my car and get ready for my first full week of work in 3 weeks.

What scrapbook lines/products, etc. do you dislike? Anything "cutesy" or Me and My Bog Ideas. You know the stick figure tpye stuff, YUCK!

What is the hardest thing you have ever had to scrap? Vacation pictures/landscape pictures of Russia. A little hard to find Russia themed motifs.

What technique do you use more than anything else? It has been so long since I have scrapped anything let me think, probably collage. I use that alot or did.

What is the smallest scrap of paper you save? I used to save 1/2" and 12" long strips, but now I toss them.

Have you ever had any scrapbook related injuries? Just cutting my fingers with a matt knife on occassion.

Finish this sentence, "If I wasn't a scrapbooker/stamper, I would spend my money on...House stuff! Because that is exactly what I have been doing for a year.

You just won a week long scrapbooking cruise for 5. Who is going with you? Yes, this is difficult. Without a doubt, Kim, Cori, Tanya, Tracy, Chris, Flo and my sister in law Kelly - I would also have to buy some extra tickets.

When you received your first publication notification, who did you tell? And if you are not yet pubbed, who will be the first person you share the news with? I have never been published. boohoo. Probably my the OPS and sister in law. Then I would annouce it here and on 2 peas like what every one else does. LOL.
